Description
Muscadine Grape is a grape variety known for its thick skin and robust flavor. Unlike traditional table grapes, Muscadines are highly resistant to disease and thrive in hot, humid climates. They produce small clusters of large, round grapes that range in color from bronze to deep purple or black. Muscadine grapes are enjoyed fresh, made into wines, jams, jellies, or even dried into raisins. They are also prized for their high content of antioxidants, particularly resveratrol.
Muscadine vines are vigorous growers and can be trained on trellises or arbors for both fruit production and ornamental purposes. The vines produce small, greenish flowers in the spring, followed by the development of grape clusters. Due to their thick skin, Muscadines are known for their chewy texture and rich, sweet flavor.
